This presentation will allow clinicians to see what we can offer to patients when we utilize the latest technological advances that are available to clinicians.

The loss of periodontium to inflammatory periodontal disease is commonly noted in the form of infrabony and furcation defects. The optimal treatment for such defects is to regenerate the lost structures to the maximum degree rather than the resective treatment that is predictable and applicable for shallower defects. For peri-implantitis, we also notice inflammation in supporting tissue structure as well as destruction of supporting bone. The evolution of scientific knowledge regarding periodontal disease treatment in combination with the availability of new devices such as dental laser have encouraged clinicians to select therapeutics that are promoted to be predictable and efficacious. This presentation will allow clinicians to see what we can offer to patients when we utilize the latest technological advances that are available to clinicians.

BIOLASE and DCA plan to expand laser adoption in dental offices

IRVINE, Calif., U.S.: The dental laser innovator BIOLASE has announced an agreement with Dental Care Alliance (DCA), one of the largest dental support organizations in the U.S. with more than 330 affiliated practices in 20 states. With this joint effort, they aim to expand laser adoption and hands-on training programs in targeted geographical areas.

FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif., U.S.: Medical device company BIOLASE expects that its U.S. sales revenue for the third quarter of 2020 will be in line with that of the corresponding pre-COVID-19 period last year. The company’s sales fell sharply in the first half of this year, but its preliminary earnings announcement will bring a degree of optimism as a host of major dental companies prepare to release their third quarter earnings reports in the coming weeks.
